How to Seek Asylum in Turkey?
To apply for “international protection/asylum” in Turkey, you can apply to the Provincial Directorate of Immigration Management, regardless of the city you are in. There is no legal time limit to apply for international protection. However, it is recommended that people who want to apply for asylum in Turkey apply to the authorities and initiate the application process as soon as possible and without delay after arriving in Turkey. What Will Happen During and After the Application for International Protection?
After you submit your application, the authorities will conduct a registration interview with you. Depending on the intensity of the authorities, the registration interview may not be held immediately on the application day. In this case, officials will give you an appointment date and ask you to return for a registration interview. During the registration interview, officials will ask basic questions about your identity and your reasons for leaving your country.
